The Valuing People resource is made up of this website and the online self-assessment tool that can be accessed by registering your organisation. This page outlines the best way to use and work through the self-assessment.
To get the most out of this resource we recommend you progress through it in the following order:
- Read through the ‘About Valuing People’ section
- Familiarise yourself with the Valuing People Framework and the five guiding VALUEs. This information is available in ‘The Framework’ section of the website
- Read through ‘The Self Assessment’ section of the website to learn more about the assessment process, what steps you need to take to conduct it, and how to interpret your results.
Once you have read through these sections you can register for the free, online self-assessment that will help you gauge the degree to which consumers, their carers, staff and leaders believe your organisation engages in person-centred practices.
After completing the assessment, you will receive a report containing the results for your organisation. This report will help you identify areas of achievement and those in need of improvement in order to take corrective actions.
The information provided in the ‘Self Assessment’ section of the website, in conjunction with the change management theories outlined in the ‘Implementing Change’ section of this website can help you with this.
After using the tools we decided our consumer charter needed to change to better reflect CDC.
